The Hive is a thriving group of people living with a disability, carers and professionals.
A chance to have your say on life-changing products of the future
The Hive is a thriving group of people living with a disability, carers and professionals who provide their ideas and views on our ongoing and new design and development projects.
You could help us to design a product that will change lives.
Who can join?
We welcome anyone who is willing to share their experiences of living with a disability, being older, or of being a carer.
You do not need to have any technical or design skills to play a valuable part in our work.
We also encourage professionals such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech therapists, who can include this as part of their Continuing Professional Development portfolio.
How does it work?
We can collect your views in a number of ways to suit you:
- Questionnaires (online and postal)
- Focus groups (online and in person)
- Technology or product prototype trials
- Participation in research projects
You can choose which activities you would be comfortable participating in when you join.
All personal information is confidential and your input in projects will be presented anonymously. Your privacy is important to us. Read our Privacy Notice here.
How often will I be contacted?
We may only contact you a few times a year, or less, depending on the project proposals and queries that arise.
If at any time you decide you no longer wish to be a part of The Hive, just let us know and we’ll update our records.
