Helping Aasiyah to thrive
Aasiyah, 1, has Sotos syndrome. Her mum knew from the moment she was sat at her bedside in NICU that she would have physical limitations. So, she researched as much as she could, to see what might help her to thrive.
She came across Wizzybug online and saved the information for when Aasiyah was a little older.
“It gives Aasiyah a real sense of achievement.”
Aasiyah’s mum feels like Wizzybug is already helping her to build up her confidence and experience some independence.
“She’s been watching other kids her age cruising and starting to walk and toddle. This is her version of cruising! Going to what she wants.
“When we took her out to the park, it’s like she realised that is what she needed: a big, open space to express herself.”
“I’m just so grateful that Wizzybug exists. There are so many things in this space that you can’t get or you have to fight for. This is such an amazing piece of equipment and gives her opportunities she wouldn’t have had.”
