We are seeking a Senior HR Advisor to provide a proactive and effective HR service to the Designability team to help us achieve our goals.

Salary: £30,000 FTE

Contract: 30 – 37.5hrs/week (open to flexible working), permanent

Location: Office based in Bath, but home working during Covid-19 restrictions

About the role

You work closely with the leadership team, providing advice and support on key HR policies and processes, and work alongside our partner the University of Bath to ensure timely delivery of services and support.

You will also be responsible for identifying development opportunities for staff in order to enhance their performance and retain their skills.

One of our partners, the University of Bath, provides Designability with payroll services, recruitment support and HR advice as and when required. This post is the key liaison point and the role holder would be expected to build an effective partnership with the University of Bath HR and Payroll teams to ensure timely delivery of services and support.

You will have:

  • Experience in providing excellent, high quality HR services throughout the entire employment life cycle
  • Experience of using an HR information system, managing and interpreting data
  • Excellent understanding of current employment legislation and best practice
  • Confidence in sharing and applying your HR knowledge at a practical level

About us

Designability is an independent charity that enables disabled people to live with greater independence. Our expertise is in user-centred design, creating products with and for disabled people to improve and enrich their lives. All of our work is funded by voluntary donations.

We deliver choice by involving disabled people across our organisation and throughout the design process to create innovative product solutions not available elsewhere.

You will be joining a small team which includes mechanical and electronics engineers, workshop technicians, product designers, occupational therapists, fundraisers, researchers and administrators.
