We are looking for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to play a vital role in the delivery of Designability’s clinical services, primarily the Wizzybug Loan Scheme.

Salary: Band 5 NHS Agenda for Change (£24,907-£30,615 per annum)

Contract: Full time (open to flexible working)

Location: Bath

You will support the delivery of Designability’s clinical services, including the Wizzybug Loan Scheme. The post-holder will work as part of a team to deliver our services.

You will work in close collaboration with Designability’s occupational therapy team, as well as the production and administrative teams. The post-holder will liaise with service users, carers and health care professionals to provide an exemplary standard of care and clinical excellence.

This role will have input into research, product development, training and marketing activities as required.

You will have:

  • Experience of delivering occupational therapy services, understanding and exceeding client expectations
  • Clinical knowledge of a wide range of disabilities, with both theoretical and practical experience
  • Excellent communication skills in working with service users, putting them at ease, building rapport and trust

Designability is an independent charity that enables disabled people to live with greater independence. Our expertise is in user-centred design, creating products with and for disabled people to improve and enrich their lives. All of our work is funded by voluntary donations.

We deliver choice by involving disabled people across our organisation and throughout the design process to create innovative product solutions not available elsewhere.

You will be joining a small team which includes mechanical and electronics engineers, workshop technicians, product designers, occupational therapists, fundraisers, researchers and administrators.
