Production Unit Technician (maternity cover)
Location: Dept. D1, Wolfson Centre, Royal United Hospital, Bath
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Duration: Fixed-term for 12 months, or the early return of the post-holder
Salary: £17,787 – £20,448 (pro-rata)
We are looking for a Production Unit Technician to join our workshop team. You will be required to carry out a range of mechanical engineering tasks relating to the production of a variety of assistive living products and fabrication of engineering design prototypes.
The role also requires regular driving of the company van for deliveries and collections.
The post-holder should have:
- NVQ level 1 in Performing Engineering Operations (or equivalent), with GCSE Maths and English
- Commensurate ‘hands-on’ experience of a range of mechanical engineering processes
- A careful and methodical working approach with good attention to detail
- A clean driving license and meet the criteria of the Designability vehicle insurance policy.
This post is part time (22.5 hours per week/0.6FTE) and is being offered on a maternity cover basis. The anticipated duration of the fixed term would be up to 12 months.
