A planning application has been put in to develop studio flats at the location of our workshop on Wells Road, Bath
Today (Thursday 8 June), the BBC published an article regarding a planning application for a proposed new development which would affect the current premises of Designability’s workshop on Wells Road, Bath.
The article states: ‘If built, the new mixed-use block would replace existing industrial units near the city centre. Both current businesses plan to move into the new building.’
However, this statement was taken from the planning application and is incorrect.
A statement from Designability
This is a statement from us at Designability to publicly clarify our position, which we have also made on the official planning application:
“Designability, as an existing tenant, has neither expressed support nor objected to the planning application put forward for the site. Contrary to comments made in sections 2 and 7 of the Employment Case, Designability have not been approached by Kosy Living to discuss any existing or future operational business needs, to be considered within the scope of the application.
“We are therefore unable to confirm or contradict whether the proposed application would support them, or our intent to remain as tenants following any redevelopment work, and have made no statement to Kosy Living as such.”
