Complicated radio interface

What's the problem?

Music can be an important source of enjoyment for people living with dementia, but conventional radios and music players can become difficult to use as memory and cognition change.

The Simple Music Player was designed to make listening to music easier and more independent, and can also support older people who find modern music players too complex.

Process

Research with people living with dementia showed that multiple buttons, settings and functions could make conventional music players difficult to understand and operate.

Through concept design, prototyping, testing and feedback, we developed a simple, intuitive product ready for licensed manufacture with E2L. The Simple Music Player is still available today.
