Trek with Discover Adventure in aid of Designability

This charity challenge is to trek for 3 days through the High Atlas Mountains running south-west through Morocco. They are remote, barren and absolutely stunning.

The ascent is tough, steep and rocky, and the effects of being at altitude add to the challenge. However, the magnificent views from the summit – reaching across to the Sahara Desert – and the sense of achievement more than compensate for your efforts.

You will witness the local way of life as you pass through colourful villages, where Berbers farm in the river valleys and herd goats and sheep in the mountains. The ancient city of Marrakech, with its labyrinthine streets and intriguing souks, provides the perfect contrast.

Challenge highlights

  • Climb to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa at 4167m
  • Behold the beautiful sunrise at the top of the peak
  • Enjoy spectacular views of the Sahara desert
  • Explore the dazzling city of Marrakech and buy souvenirs in the fascinating souks
