Product Experience Designer

We are looking for someone to engage with end users and experts to understand their needs and determine design requirements. You will be developing viable product experiences for disabled people, as well as facilitating safe and effective user testing to provide critical feedback on the suitability of proposed design solutions.

Purpose of the role

This role will be an integral part of the design and innovation team working on projects at every stage of development.

You will lead on design or research activities within Designability’s design and innovation projects (e.g. concept design or product testing with disabled people), including planning these activities and reporting outcomes.

You will also deliver design and user research activities on projects completed with external organisations, such as design consultancy, with the support of other team members.

You will have:

  • Experience of designing products in response to real life needs.
  • Worked in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of person/human centred design methods.
  • Worked in a design or manufacturing company.
  • Successfully managed workload and project tasks.
