How we’re governed

You can check out our latest Annual Report and Accounts on the Charity Commission.

The day to day responsibility for the running of Designability is delegated to our Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team.

Our work is overseen by three main bodies:

The Board of Trustees are unpaid volunteers who meet at least three times per year and are responsible for ensuring that we meet our charitable objectives and are run according to our Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association. We operate a clear and transparent recruitment process for all trustee roles and encourage applications from disabled people, or those with lived experience of disability.
The Product and Impact Committee meet four times a year to review all current and new projects, to ensure that they meet our charitable objects, current strategy and are progressing according to timescale and budget. They also review the impact our products and services are making both directly and indirectly.
The Finance and Governance Committee meet four times a year to review income and expenditure against budget and to ensure that the charity adheres to set financial controls as well as reviewing risk and governance.
